Wedding Countdown 2018
I cannot believe my wedding is 229 days away! November 2018 will be here before you know it and I am so here for it. Planning a wedding has been exciting and stressful. Wedding planning is a full-time job, and it can be difficult balancing meetings with vendors, finding ideas on Pinterest, and preparing for school the next day. One moment, I am on cloud-nine after finding and vibing with the perfect vendor and then the next moment I want to pull my hair out. Yes, I have my bridezilla moments. Surprisingly, I haven't been as bad as I thought I would be, so kudos to me.
Nonetheless, I am having the best time planning our wedding. I am so blessed to be surrounded by friends and family who are genuinely supportive of us. Me and Chris's relationship isn't the norm. We are planning a wedding long-distant. I am finishing my last year of law school in Maryland, and Chris has two more years of business school at Stanford University. Imagine scheduling meetings with vendors on different time-zones; yep, that's me and Chris's life haha. I could not do it without the help of my fabulous wedding team, aka, my mom and sister ("the best maid-of-honor EVER"). This process has reminded me of how blessed I truly am. To have a mom and sister who are there at your beck and call, who want you to be happy, and will do anything to make sure our wedding day is perfect is a blessing. My dad is super supportive too when he isn't having a "dad moment." Usually, my dad isn't Mr. Sensitive. Trust me, my mom and I have enough emotions for the entire family, but lately, he has been super emotional about giving away his oldest daughter, and it is adorable, and I love it!
Wedding planning has been everything I hoped for and more. I cannot wait to see all of our hard work, sweat, tears, and coins come to life. Weddings are expensive yall! Most importantly, I cannot wait to marry the man of my dreams. Stay tuned for #wishGRANTED2018!
