4 Must-haves for Winter to Spring Outfits
My sister and I love the fall and winter seasons, especially fall fashion but we are tired of the cold weather. We are ready for spring! Unfortunately, it's April, and we are still experiencing 45 degree temperatures in Maryland! It's hard to look super chic and poised when your heart wants to throw on a floral dress and sandals, but Mother Nature is not having it.
Here are some tips to help you look poised, classy, and chic during this awkward transitioning phase.
1. Mixing Pieces
Our #1 tip for transitioning your winter wardrobe to spring is mixing your winter pieces with springtime fabrics and patterns. For example, throw on a chunky sweater over a pastel dress, or pair a moto leather jacket with white pants to give it a fresh springtime look. The key is to introduce your Spring pieces with a neutral colored winter garment.
2. Cool Leather Jacket
We love a classic leather jacket. This staple is perfect for every season. See how Morgan paired her leather jacket with a floral jumpsuit? The floral pattern is giving you a summer feel, while the leather jacket pulls the ensemble together and keeps her warm on those chilly evenings out.
Layering is essential when you're transitioning from winter to spring. Especially on the East Coast, when Mother Nature is indecisive from hour-to-hour. Taylor layered her chambray denim shirt with an oversized denim jacket to create a cute winter/spring look. Denim and leather items are a girls best friend during this time of year.
4. Boots & Mules
We love pairing boots with bright colors or fun patterns during the transitioning season. The bright colors scream spring and the boots give a chic winter look. A pair of mules are this seasons must-haves and would go great with wide legged pants!
